Terms of Use
Plain-language terms for a small, independently run product. Using Finworthly means you accept these.
What Finworthly is
Finworthly is a record-keeping tool. You manually enter the value of things you own and owe, and it arithmetic those figures into a net worth total and a trend over time. That is the whole product.
What Finworthly is not
This is not financial advice. Finworthly does not recommend investments, assess risk, provide planning services, or tell you what to do with your money. It is not a registered investment adviser, financial planner, broker, or distributor of any financial product, and nothing in the app or its guides should be treated as a personal recommendation.
Decisions about your money are yours. If you need advice, consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser or a qualified tax professional.
Accuracy is your responsibility
Finworthly has no connection to any bank, broker, depository, or Account Aggregator, and cannot verify anything. Every figure it shows is one you entered. If you type a wrong number, or forget to update a value for six months, the dashboard will confidently show you a wrong net worth. The totals are only ever as good as the inputs.
The educational guides published on this site describe rules, rates, and processes that change over time. They are written in good faith and dated, but you should verify anything that affects a real decision against the official source.
Your account
- You sign in with Google. Keeping that Google account secure is your responsibility.
- You are responsible for anyone you invite into your household. Adding someone's email lets them sign in and see household totals — treat that as sharing your finances with them, because it is.
- Do not use the service to store data about people who have not agreed to it.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the service, or use it for anything unlawful.
Availability
Finworthly is a personal project running on modest infrastructure. There is no uptime guarantee, no support SLA, and no promise that any feature will continue to exist. It may be taken offline, changed substantially, or discontinued. Export your data periodically from Settings if it matters to you.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Finworthly is not liable for any loss — financial, data, or otherwise — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. This includes decisions made on the basis of figures shown in the app.
Cost
Finworthly is currently offered at no charge. That is a present fact, not a commitment: pricing has not been decided and may be introduced in future. If it is, you will be told before it applies to you, and you will be able to export your data and leave.
Your content
The data you enter remains yours. You grant only the permission technically necessary to store and display it back to you and to household members you invite. The software, design, and written guides remain the property of the operator.
Ending your use
You may stop at any time and request deletion of your account and data by emailing hello@malaymehta.com. Accounts that abuse the service may be removed.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The "last updated" date above will reflect it. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
